Mallorca remains Europe's undisputed cycling capital — a place where smooth tarmac, Mediterranean views, and famous mountain climbs converge into something truly spectacular. From the first turn of the pedals in the iconic Serra de Tramuntana to the last sunset over the sea, this island has an energy that keeps cyclists returning year after year.
At Medfeel, we curate experiences that go far beyond the ride. Every route, every hotel, and every recommendation has been personally tested to ensure the perfect balance between performance and luxury. Here's our expert guide to making 2026 your year to ride Mallorca.
When to Go
The ideal riding months are March to June and September to early November. During these windows, the island basks in warm sunshine, the roads are quieter, and the cafés hum with the sound of freehubs rather than tourists.
Summer, while beautiful, can bring temperatures that make cycling impractical, but with early starts, even July has its charms. Due to the island's geography, weather can shift unexpectedly in spring and autumn, so Medfeel monitors conditions daily and shares real-time weather updates with guests to help plan each ride perfectly.
How Long to Stay
To truly experience Mallorca, plan for at least a week in the saddle. The Serra de Tramuntana alone rewards days of exploration — hairpin climbs, sweeping descents, and quiet roads that feel custom made for cyclists. Many of our guests extend to ten days or more, allowing time to combine the mountains with the serene heartland and the lesser-known eastern range.
For shorter escapes of around five days, the island's major routes and climbs can still be conquered — though you'll face the unenviable challenge of deciding what to leave out.
At Medfeel, we believe the perfect trip extends beyond cycling alone. Our itineraries pair world-class rides with authentic Mallorcan culture, cuisine, and calm. Contact our expert team to design your tailor-made Mallorca experience.
Who Is It For?
Mallorca caters to every kind of cyclist. The mountains aren't just for the pros — compared to destinations like the French Alps or Dolomites, the climbs here are gentler, shorter, and more forgiving. Perfect for both first-time climbers and seasoned riders alike.
The roads are smooth, well-maintained, and remarkably quiet. Drivers are considerate and accustomed to sharing the road with cyclists. Popular routes such as Sa Calobra and Cap de Formentor can get busy, but with an early start, you'll have them largely to yourself.
From relaxed e-bike tours through almond groves to high-performance training camps, Mallorca's variety is unmatched. Medfeel offers both guided and self-guided experiences, each supported by verified GPX routes and dedicated on-trip assistance.
Bring Your Own Bike or Rent?
You can bring your own bike, but for many guests, premium local rentals make life easier. We work with Mallorca's leading partners to deliver top-end carbon bikes directly to your hotel, perfectly fitted and maintained. There are a wide variety of options available and we can cater to all needs.
For those attached to their own machine, our team can facilitate secure transfers, builds, and tune-ups so you can focus on the ride.
Where to Stay
Mallorca's hospitality scene continues to evolve, with a growing list of luxury hotels designed with cyclists in mind:
- North: El Vicenç de la Mar, Can Aulí
- Central Tramuntana: Jumeirah Port de Sóller, Hotel Valldemossa
- South: Castell Son Claret, Son Bunyola
- Heartland: Can Ferrereta, Es Figueral Nou, Finca Serena
Each property has been specially selected according to Medfeel's hallmark blend of comfort, character, and proximity to the island's best rides.
Routes to Remember
Mallorca's most iconic rides are unforgettable. For an in-depth look at our favourites click here.

- South Tramuntana Loop — Esporles to Andratx through clifftop villages.

For the connoisseur, there are hidden treasures too: Port de Valldemossa, Albercutx Watchtower, and Coll d'Honor — quiet, authentic, and without the traffic of the more famous spots.
