Four questions narrow six tours down to one or two. Start with your days and your climbing, not the price.
Answer four questions, in this order: how many riding days you have, how much climbing you can repeat day after day, whether you need fixed dates or your own, and how much of the time you want a guide on the road.
Those four answers narrow Medfeel's six cycling tours, from 3 to 8 days and from €950 to €5,850 per person, down to one or two.
Quick answer
- Days first: 3 days = 2 riding days (Weekend Cycling Escape, from €950); 5 days = 3 riding days (Classic Short Tour, from €1,250); 7 days = 5 riding days (Signature, Tramuntana Luxury Ride or Easygoing E-Bike); 8 days = 6 riding days (Epic Island Loop, from €5,850).
- Judge climbing per riding day, not per trip: the six tours range from about 290 m a day (Easygoing E-Bike) to 1,000 m a day (Epic Island Loop).
- Fixed dates or yours: two tours run on scheduled 2027 departures (Tramuntana Luxury Ride, Easygoing E-Bike); the other four start on the dates you choose.
- Guiding is a dial, not a switch: every tour can run guided, self-guided or a mix, with a guided day priced at €280, €310 or €340 depending on the length of the ride.
- Mixed-level group: put the less-trained rider on an e-bike rather than picking an easier tour for everyone.
How many riding days do you actually have?
Start with riding days, not trip length, because Medfeel's tours always include an arrival and a departure day. A 3-day trip gives you 2 days on the bike, a 5-day trip 3, a 7-day trip 5 and the 8-day loop 6. If you can only get away for a long weekend, the format decides the tour before anything else does.
- 2 riding days: the Weekend Cycling Escape — 130 km and 1,850 m in total, one hotel (The Lodge, near Campanet), from €950 per person. Good if you are already on the island or adding cycling to a Palma city break.
- 3 riding days: the Classic Mallorca Bike Short Tour — 330 km and 3,290 m, two hotels (El Vicenç de la Mar in Cala Sant Vicenç, then Jumeirah in Port de Sóller), from €1,250. The most kilometres per day of any tour; more on that below.
- 5 riding days: the Signature Mallorca Bike Tour, the Tramuntana Luxury Ride or the Easygoing E-Bike Tour. This is the format we recommend for most first visits, because it leaves room for one easy day in the middle.
- 6 riding days: the Epic Island Cycling Loop — 375 km and 6,000 m over five hotels, from €5,850. For riders who want the whole island, not just the Tramuntana.
Our separate guide to how many days you need for a Mallorca cycling holiday goes deeper on the trade-offs of each length.
How much climbing can you repeat, day after day?
The most reliable way to match yourself to a tour is metres of climbing per riding day, because Mallorca's difficulty comes from stacking climbs on consecutive days, not from total kilometres. Divide each tour's total elevation by its riding days and compare that number with what you comfortably ride on a normal weekend at home.
| Tour | Level (as listed) | Riding days | Total | Per riding day (average) | From (per person) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Easygoing E-Bike Tour | Easy cycling | 5 | 260 km · 1,450 m | 52 km · 290 m | €1,880 |
| Weekend Cycling Escape | Intermediate | 2 | 130 km · 1,850 m | 65 km · 925 m | €950 |
| Signature Mallorca Bike Tour | Intermediate | 5 | 430 km · 4,610 m | 86 km · 922 m | €2,320 |
| Tramuntana Luxury Ride | Intermediate | 5 | 455 km · 4,670 m | 91 km · 934 m | €4,850 |
| Classic Mallorca Bike Short Tour | Intermediate | 3 | 330 km · 3,290 m | 110 km · 1,097 m | €1,250 |
| Epic Island Cycling Loop | Experienced | 6 | 375 km · 6,000 m | 63 km · 1,000 m | €5,850 |
Two things in that table surprise most people. First, the Epic Island Loop covers fewer kilometres per day than the Signature tour — it is rated Experienced because of the climbing density and the six consecutive days, not the distance. Second, the 5-day Classic Short Tour is the biggest daily load on the list: three riding days with an average of 110 km. It suits fit riders who are short on time; it is not the gentle option its length suggests.
As a rough guide to the listed levels: an Easy rider is comfortable with 2–4 hours on the bike; an Intermediate rider rides one to three times a week and can handle 50–80 km with sustained climbs like Coll de Sa Batalla (7.9 km at 5.0%) or Cap de Formentor (10.8 km at 2.9%); an Experienced rider is happy on long Category 1 climbs such as Sa Calobra (9.5 km at 7.2%) and Puig Major from Sóller (14.4 km at 5.7%) several days in a row. If you are between two levels, our Mallorca cycling tours for every level guide breaks each one down further.
Do you need your own dates or a scheduled departure?
If your dates are fixed by work or school calendars, choose a bespoke tour; if you are flexible and like riding with other people, a scheduled departure is simpler. In Medfeel's range, four tours are bespoke (start any date you choose) and two are social, running on set 2027 departures.
| Bespoke tours | Scheduled (social) tours | |
|---|---|---|
| Tours | Weekend Escape, Classic Short, Signature, Epic Island Loop | Tramuntana Luxury Ride, Easygoing E-Bike Tour |
| Start date | Any date you choose | Tramuntana: 15 Mar, 29 Mar, 12 Apr, 27 Sep, 11 Oct 2027 · Easygoing: 5 Apr, 26 Apr, 4 Oct, 18 Oct 2027 |
| Who you ride with | Only your own group | Other guests on the same departure |
| Itinerary changes | Route, hotels and pace adapted to you | Shared plan, adjusted on the day for weather |
| Best for | Couples, friends, families, mixed bike types | Solo travellers and social riders |
The scheduled dates above were open at the time of writing (October 2026); check the tour page for current availability before you book flights. Riding on your own dates does not have to mean riding alone — and a scheduled tour does not mean a large group, as the guest below found when choosing a company.
"I really wanted a customized, personalized experience where I was not part of some large biking group where I had to wait for a van and for groups of riders."
— Paul T, United States, April 2026 guest review
How much guiding do you want?
Every Medfeel cycling tour can run fully guided, fully self-guided or as a mix, so guiding is a choice you make per day rather than per tour. Self-guided still includes GPX files for every route, an onboarding session, luggage transfers, bike delivery, emergency assistance and a dedicated travel agent; a guided day costs €280 for a short ride, €310 for a medium ride or €340 for a long ride.
The mix is what most of our guests end up choosing: a guide on the big mountain days, where local knowledge changes the ride (wind direction, descent lines, where the real coffee stop is), and self-guided on the shorter days. On the Signature tour, for example, day 3 crosses the north Tramuntana — 95 km and 2,148 m — while day 4 is a 30 km, 320 m ride around the Sóller valley that most riders are happy to do on their own.
We cover the pros and cons of each format, and when a guide is worth the fee, in our dedicated comparison of guided vs self-guided cycling in Mallorca. This page only asks the question you need to answer first: would you rather never think about navigation, or keep the freedom to start at 10:00 and stop wherever you like?
Road bike or e-bike — and what if you are a mixed group?
Ride a road bike if you ride one at home and the climbing is part of the point; choose an e-bike if you want the Tramuntana scenery without the full physical cost, or if your group's fitness levels differ. Mixing both in one group is normal, and it is usually a better solution than choosing an easier tour for everyone.
Medfeel's current road fleet includes the Trek Domane SL6 Gen 4 and Trek Madone SL6 Gen 8 (Shimano 105 Di2) and the Cannondale SuperSix EVO Carbon 2 (Shimano Ultegra Di2); the e-bike option includes the Trek Checkpoint+ SL 5, a road/gravel e-bike. Exact models depend on size availability for your dates. The Easygoing E-Bike Tour is built around e-bikes; on every other tour an e-bike can replace the road bike for one or all riders.
One base or several hotels?
Choose one base if you want to unpack once and ride loops; choose a multi-hotel tour if you want the trip to feel like a journey across the island. Medfeel moves your luggage between hotels on every multi-hotel tour, so the real trade-off is a little less routine in exchange for riding into new valleys instead of out and back.
- One hotel: Weekend Cycling Escape — The Lodge, at the foot of the Tramuntana near Campanet.
- Two hotels: Classic Mallorca Bike Short Tour — El Vicenç de la Mar (north coast), then Jumeirah Mallorca (Port de Sóller).
- Three hotels: Signature Mallorca Bike Tour — Can Aulí (Pollença), Hotel Espléndido (Port de Sóller), El Llorenç Parc de la Mar (Palma); Tramuntana Luxury Ride — El Vicenç de la Mar, Jumeirah, Son Bunyola; Easygoing E-Bike Tour — Mostatxins (Alcúdia), S'Olivaret (between Alaró and Orient), Son Galcerán.
- Five hotels: Epic Island Cycling Loop — Sant Francesc (Palma), Can Ferrereta (Santanyí), Es Racó d'Artà, El Vicenç de la Mar and Jumeirah.
Hotel style matters as much as the count. If you want to compare the properties themselves, see our best cycling hotels in Mallorca guide.
When should you go?
For most riders, spring (March to June) and autumn (September to November) are the best windows for a guided tour in Mallorca, with temperatures that suit long climbing days. Every 2027 scheduled departure falls in March–May or September–October for that reason. Summer works with early starts; winter is mild, but many mountain-village hotels close for part of it.
If you are travelling in winter, check that the hotels on your chosen tour are open for your dates before booking flights — it is the most common reason we adjust a winter itinerary. Our month-by-month guide to the best time to cycle Mallorca covers weather by month.
What does the price include — and what doesn't it?
Compare tours on what they include, not on the headline price. Every Medfeel cycling tour includes all hotel nights with breakfast, a high-end bike with helmet, pedals and mount, daily bike insurance, GPX files, luggage and airport transfers, energy bars and gels, emergency assistance and a dedicated travel agent. Flights, travel insurance and meals beyond breakfast are not included.
Prices are from the listed amount per person, and a private guide is optional rather than included by default — which is why the same tour can cost noticeably more for a group that wants a guide on all five riding days than for one that rides self-guided. We recommend taking out travel insurance and reading the cancellation terms on the tour page before booking.

Frequently asked questions
Which Mallorca cycling tour is best for first-time visitors?
For most first-time visitors at an intermediate level, a 7-day tour with 5 riding days is the right format, because it covers the north coast, the Tramuntana and Sóller without stacking every hard day together. In Medfeel's range that is the Signature Mallorca Bike Tour (from €2,320 per person) on your own dates, or the Tramuntana Luxury Ride on a scheduled departure.
Is Mallorca suitable for beginner cyclists?
Yes, if the route and the bike match the rider. The Easygoing E-Bike Tour averages about 52 km and 290 m of climbing per riding day on e-bikes, which suits riders who are confident handling a bike but don't train regularly. Riders should still be comfortable spending a few hours a day in the saddle and controlling the bike on descents.
Can I book a Medfeel tour for just two people?
Yes. The four bespoke tours — Weekend Escape, Classic Short, Signature and Epic Island Loop — are built around your own group, whether that is two people or more, and start on the dates you choose. All six cycling tours list couples among the travellers they are designed for.
Do I need to bring my own bike?
No. A high-end rental bike is included on every Medfeel cycling tour, fitted to your measurements before you arrive and delivered to your first hotel, with helmet, pedals, device mount and daily bike insurance. You only need your own shoes, pedals if you prefer yours, and clothing.
What happens if the weather turns on a riding day?
Itineraries are adjusted to the forecast: a start time moved to a drier part of the day, a ride shortened or rerouted, or two days swapped. If conditions are not safe to ride, an off-the-bike alternative is proposed instead. Mountain weather can differ sharply from the coast, so always carry a windproof layer for descents.
How far in advance should I book?
Book as early as you can if you need a specific week in spring or autumn, a scheduled departure or several rental bikes in particular sizes. Bespoke tours are more flexible on dates, but hotel and bike availability in April, May, September and October is what usually limits the choice.
